It’s been a few months since we’ve checked in on the good ole budget. How does your spending compare to what you thought you were spending? Has the warmer weather spread your finances thin? Assess where you are and calculate where you would like to be by the end of summer.
2. Check your credit score
Your credit score determines the interest rates for your mortgage and other loans, so keeping tabs every once in a while is good practice. If you’ve been making all your payments on time and you notice a sudden dip in your score, this could alert you to possible fraudulent activity.
3. Clean out & organize the garage
The weather may be warmer, but storm season has arrived on time. Protect your cars from hail damage by finding a nice day to deep clean the garage, organize your storage and get rid of the clutter. Donate your old items or have a garage sale. The extra money could go to your summer plans!
4. Update online passwords
We recommend updating the passwords to all your online profiles periodically. Last month, an internet bug known as Heartbleed caused concern when millions of websites using OpenSSL became vulnerable. Protect your identity, read more about Heartbleed.
